Lampshade Wedding Guestbook

The “idea” behind a wedding guestbook is that you will have a keepsake that has the signatures over all the guests who attended your wedding. To use a lampshade as your wedding guestbook first you need to pick out the shade you want to use. Decide how much area you will need for signatures based on the number of guests coming and how verbose you want them to be able to write. If the style of lampshade you really want isn’t large enough for all your guests to sign consider getting 2 or more of them. Lampshades in a white or slightly off white cloth work best as they allow light to shine through except where your guests have signed with a dark, acid free, paint pen. You can use a darker lampshade with a white, light, or metallic paint pen for signatures. If the lampshades are inexpensive enough purchase one and test out lampshade and pen combination you like to see if the finished product looks as good as what you are imagining.

At your wedding have a table setup with the lampshades and the pens (acid free) of your choice and a sign stating what and how they should sign or preferably have a person there to tell/show them what to do. This idea is not very well known so your guests will most likely need a little help getting started. This is sure to be a very memorable guestbook for both you and your guests!
