Le Papier Studio is known for their beautiful silhouette jewelry, which of course make great gifts for new mom's, or really ANY moms (Mother's Day coming up alert!!).
But I think the family tree series would also make a really great bridesmaids or flower gift gift. Especially the bracelet, if you include everyone in the bridal parties silhouettes, what a wonderful memento of the day that could be!

Yesterday was the Oscar de la Renta show, and I was so excited to be one of the bloggers invited early to shoot backstage. I've been backstage before to other shows, but it's always been a quick in and out sort of experience amidst all the craziness.
This time, we were allowed access to everything, from the rehearsal to make up and hair, and the one thing that struck me was how calm it was! Hope you enjoy a sneak peek behind the scenes at Oscar de la Renta!

Around Christmas time, I was introduced to a new site called Foldable.me, where you could create your own little foldable character out of paper. It's totally easy and totally fun, and I went and bought a bunch as gifts, in addition to making little characters out of me and my husband.
The company has now introduced characters that can be dressed for a wedding, which makes them perfect as cake toppers, or even as gifts to your bridal party. You can also contact them for bulk...

As a blogger, I get a ton of press releases...most are pretty lame, but sometimes one catches my eye and I get intrigued. Such is the case with Thankful Registry.
Some registry sites can be all pink and girly, which almost insults me, because I was DEFINITELY not into that when I was getting married. I really appreciate the thoughtfulness to design that TR has put into their product. It's almost a Pinterest hybrid, so you can register from anywhere, but it all looks really good. You...

Recently Poppies & Posies have partnered with Stephanie Singer-Eventov to create a line of exclusive prints that can be used for anything from table runners to bow ties! There are designs for every taste (of COURSE I'll be shopping the graphic ones!) and are a wonderful way to jazz up your wedding with something unique.
Some of you might think doing custom pieces aren't viable for your wedding due to cost, but almost anything you make can be reused in your home, or can be given...

Most brides probably feel like they have to go neutral or just a simple pop of red or coral on their nails for their wedding day, but I'm hoping this sparks some interest in doing something a LITTLE more daring!
My favorite is probably the simple gold french manicure (below) since I've done it before and it really does look stunning. But I want to know...

As one who loves the whimsical and fun, I'm a huge fan of RoyalMint's adorable figurines. They're little characters straight out of fairytales, and I recently noticed they've started selling custom wedding cake toppers!
I mean really, have you ever seen anything so cute? You can choose to have you and your honey reimagined as any woodland creature you can dream up, and best of all, you'll also get a digital print of your little guys in a fun setting...to use as thank you cards or...

When it comes to makeup for your wedding, there are tons of directions you can go. I think the general consensus is that you want to look like a better version of your natural self, so I love these little "upgrades" to the makeup arsenal.
The cat eye is a fabulously classic look that I'm pretty sure looks good on everyone. It takes a little practice, but any makeup artist can do it with ease.
If you want to bring in some bright color, then a bold lip is definitely the way to...

When Chad and I got married, in addition to the favors we were giving our guests, we wanted to have something a little fun for people to take away.... enter our 1" buttons!
They can be used in so many ways....on escort cards, as ice breakers for guests to get to know one another, or just to commemorate the day! I designed four separate designs and had them displayed in glass cylinders as guests walked in, and they were a big hit! It was so fun to see all 4 designs pinned on tuxedos...

I look forward to the Academy Awards every year during awards season, because really, who doesn't love seeing fancy dresses come down a red carpet? But this year, I've gotta say I wasn't really blown away with the dresses (except YOU Naomi Watts, you knocked it out of the park!) So this time I thought I'd focus on the gents, because most got it really right!
Eddie Redmayne jazzed his look up with some velvet slippers, while Christoph Waltz & Daniel Day Lewis went with navy blue...

If you're on the hunt for a great engagement ring, Turtle Love might be a great place to look. They have a beautiful selection of handcrafted engagement rings, wedding bands, in addition to vintage pieces, so everyone can find something they'll like.
Of course I'm drawn to the more modern organic pieces myself, but I can definitely appreciate everything they carry. And while I love their wedding jewelry, I can't help but love their state necklaces too! What a perfect gift for a...

Valentine's Day will be here before you know it, and I've got paper flowers on the mind! After all, they'll last forever, you never have to water them, and they're just awesome.
They ALSO happen to make great decorations for your wedding....sure, they're a little time consuming to DIY, but they'll really make a lasting impression on your guests.
Two Etsy shops that have absolutely BEAUTIFUL paper fleurs are Frances & Francis and The House that Lars Built (you should check out...

A few months ago Refinery29 had an article on City Hall weddings....essentially they photographed a total of 32 newlyweds getting married on a single day, and the styles they rocked.
One of my favorite things about City Hall weddings is that you can dress a little more close to your own style vs the expected wedding gown... all you need is a fabulous dress that may or may not be in white! Hemlines are generally shorter, and even the guys can get in on the fun with unique ways of...
