As much as I adore the bridal flip flops, I love the story of how J*Flops came to be even more…
“The idea first was born during a time when it seemed everyone was getting married, including my best friend…who was getting married on the beach at Lake Tahoe. The shores in Tahoe are rocky so going barefoot hurts and wearing heels just didn’t work at all. Since I was a bridesmaid, I volunteered to take on the task of solving the shoe dilemma. The idea grew from there. I created a pair of beautiful flip flops and they worked out perfect for her beach ceremony. She even kept them on for the entire reception…and no sore feet after dancing the night away!”
How cute is that?

Very cute . . . prices are pretty reasonable and if you're like me and live in flip flops all summer (and spring, and fall) you can really get your money's worth.
I love flip flops! These are really cute :)
So who got the free pair?!
I think this sounds like a great DIY project too! The bridesmaids in a beach wedding I was in wore generic brown flipflops that we tried to jazz up by supergluing beads onto the straps. The first few pairs looked great but by the end everything was a mess and most of the beads ended up coming off before the reception was over. Somebody stepped on my foot before the ceremony and took off half of my beads. If only we had thought of the ribbon idea, it seems much more substantial and very clever.
cleigh... she makes wedge heeled flip flops, too!! Just 1.5 inches, but every extra inch counts for us short girls!!
