Outdoor Gift Registry Ideas from Amazon
All this week we’ve been getting inspired by the Fourth of July, and for the past few weeks we’ve been getting some gift registry inspiration from Amazon, so today we thought we’d combine the two. One of the great categories Amazon lets you register for is outdoor items, including patriotic touches like flags.

Gardening
America's other greatest pastime is toiling in the garden for hours on end. Whether you're planting, cultivating, pruning, or watering, having the necessary equipment is key to the success of your garden. Keep in mind that you don't need to have a green thumb to make a garden grow. You just need the right tools and a little know-how.
Setting Up Shop
To get started, you'll want to avoid blisters and backaches by wearing gloves and kneepads. Use a shovel, rake, and wheelbarrow to move debris out and new dirt, fertilizer, and rocks in. Cultivators and tillers will break up the ground for planting and weed removal. Get down and dirty with landscaping tools, including trowels, hoes, loppers, and pruners. And don't forget to water using a hose, sprinkler, or watering can. Keep everything neat and tidy with an outdoor storage unit like a deck box or utility shed.
Love Your Lawn
Your lawn needs constant attention. Between the grass, trees, and garden, you won't be at a loss for something to maintain outside. The grass needs to be mowed, trimmed, edged, watered, and aerated. Trees, depending on size, need to be handled with caution. Branches can be removed with a chain saw or pole saw. Large trees should be removed by a professional.

A new house together creates many opportunities for outdoor hobbies you might enjoy together or by yourself. Get cozy planting flowers in the garden or see what kinds of birds you can attract to your backyard with a bird feeder or birdbath. Also take this opportunity to register for outdoor décor such as chimes, fountains, or garden sculptures.
Hmm . . . didn't think about gardening stuff on our registry. I have vegetable/herb garden in my yard, although it's not fairing too well in this 90-100 degree heat.
What a practical idea! I never thought of gardening items for the registry. I would love to add: wind chimes, different season flags, and gardening tools.
