Usually our monthly Real Wedding Challenges series covers a wedding that’s long over so that you can get some interesting perspective on the wedding planning process. But, when I learned about a wedding that’s happening this Halloween I had to explore that challenge.
The couple:
Carmen, 31, lawyer
Brad, 39, lawyer
How did you meet and get engaged?
Carmen says: We met through work because we were both involved in the same case. When I asked Brad to go to lunch with me, he...

Since we covered Jim Hjelm’s beautiful Spring 2010 wedding dress collection earlier today, how about a little something for the bridesmaids, too!
Jim Hjelm’s bridesmaids' dresses are just about as lovely as his wedding dresses. Full of vibrant colors, rich fabrics, and believe it or not, pockets! When I saw some of these stunners walk down the runway, I was blown away by the beautiful, unique hues… like the Pumpkin-colored bridesmaid’s frock above, and the iridescent Opal...

Featured Wedding by Jon & Nic of S6 Photography, Sheffield, UK
The location of Neil and Chloe's big day was so amazing- a church ceremony followed by the reception at a local cricket club in the sleepy village of Dumbleton (in the Cotswold, England). Neil and the boys had a pint in the village pub on the morning of the wedding as Chloe & the...

Hits of lace, deep-v backs, plunging necklines, sumptuous fabrics, and flower appliqués galore! Sitting front row at the Jim Hjelm press show in New York was quite a treat! We had a bird’s eye view of all the fabulousness of this Spring 2010 collection!
How amazing are the “illusion” straps on the wedding dress above? And I die over the luxurious blush silk satin color in the beautiful strapless gown below. I adore the plunging sweetheart necklines on a lot of the Spring...

This week's question:
We are getting married at a church and the church is having multiple weddings the same day. How much time do I need before the ceremony and after? I don't want to be too rushed, so if they can't give me enough time I may need to go somewhere...

Beth Elis is another new designer who we had the pleasure of meeting during NY market. She was an absolute doll, and her wedding dress collection was to-die-for. Upon meeting her, she stated that (without wanting to sound too cliché) her collection was inspired by women. And you can tell… Take the Nigella for example- this beautiful gown was so obviously created for the bride who embraces her curves and beauty.
High necklines, cap sleeves, and intricate, antique touches abound...
