Hey Ladies! Do you ever wonder what makeup colors go best with your skin tone? I know I do! Every bride is different, and just like most things surrounding your big day, one size does not fit all!

Best make-up colors for fair skinned brides-to-be: fall and winter seasons

To help you achieve the most beautiful bridal face, we've tapped an expert in the industry- Michelle Lo Conte of I Do Hair and Make-Up.

Today, some tips for our lovely Fair Skinned brides-to-be...

For those of you with fair skin, less is more! Shy away from super smoky eyes and dark lip colors year round. And don’t cover up those freckles if you have them! They are adorable and on your wedding day, more than ever you want to be the most beautiful version of yourself – don’t lose “YOU!”

Fall/winter – Earth tones and light pastels on the eyes such as purples, blues and greens look stunning this time of year. Especially for those who have fair skin and light eyes... Cheeks call for blushes with an orange or peach base, and finish the look off with lips in the rose, golden or soft pink family.

Spring/SummerPeach, champagne and pink tones work best on your eyes and cheeks. A bronze or olive green eyeliner will put a stunning finish to your eyes! Keep the lips neutral as the warm weather may enhance your natural “glow” and you don’t want too much color on your face. You can’t go wrong with a colorless, shiny gloss. Spice up your look with a pink-based bronzer and don’t be afraid of shimmer! Summertime calls for the dewey glow and no one can pull this off better than a fair-haired beauty!

Tomorrow, Michelle will weigh in on the best colors for our Medium Skin Toned nearlyweds, so stay tuned!!

For spring and summer, fair skinned brides should go for a natural makeup look

  • I'm quite fairskinned, but because of my bold personality, I can pull of tons of bright color even for "everyday wear." In fact, one of my favorite things to do on my eyes is to create a peacock feather look. It's so much fun being artsy! One of the Sephora representatives love it so much, she wanted to know if one of their makeup artists had done. I was quite happy to assure her that I had done it myself (with makeup from Wal-Mart). Like I said before, be yourself, but don't be afraid to try something you never had before. And, the natural looking makeup is great on the wedding day!
