Floral Fascinators: What Are They, And Why Are They So Fabulous?

Posted by Azure on September 22nd, 2009
I have a confession. Graduating from college, with a degree in finance, and starting work at OneWed back in January, I was far from a wedding expert- especially when it came to bridal fashion.

How far I've come since then... Its as if I've learned a whole new language! And I must say, it was a lot more fun (and much easier) than learning Spanish or Italian!

Do you know what a Fascinator is? Because when I started at OneWed, I sure didn't! Defined, a fascinator is a delicate, slightly-to-very frivolous head decoration worn almost exclusively by women. Modern fascinators are commonly made with feathers, flowers or beads, and are perfect for the vintage-loving bride!

I was contacted by a gal who has an Etsy shop, called Hapitat, and her flower fascinators, brooches, and bridal bouquets (made from recycled vintage fabrics, feathers and lace) are lovely! Courtney Love Cobain is a fan (she's purchased two Hapitat pieces!), and so am I! What do you ladies think of these statement-making flower fascinators? Would you walk down the aisle in one?
