Inspired by Escada: From Catwalk to The White Aisle

Posted by Azure on February 16th, 2010
In 2010, brides will be going vintage chic while staying warm and cozy! Outerwear pieces like stoles, shawls, boleros and even cardigans are making a big comeback this year!

And with New York Fashion Week in full swing, there's a lot of eye candy from the catwalk to inspire your bridal look. Escada's collection is a great example. For their Fall 2010 line, they drew inspiration from two distinct places- from the works of 1930's artist Tamara de Lempicka and from the European countryside. Sounds like vintage chic meets rustic Euro chic to me! Escada's collection was full of sequined cardigans, ombré fur coats and shrugs, and cozy knit shawls (complete with girly ruffles). There were also lots of jewel tones coming down the Escada runway (deep purple, emerald, etc.), regal hues that are expected to be big again throughout 2010.

If you are planning a fall or winter wedding, and need a chic little something to keep your shoulders warm, Etsy has some fabulous (and affordable) options. I found the adorable boleros below from TianaCHE on Etsy, and think these would be the perfect bridal accessory! Helpful Links: Top Wedding Trends for 2010 Accessorize Your Bridal Look
