About
Bride Chic
When I get the opportunity to design a
wedding dress like Donna's, I'm blown away and so excited. Donna and Matt incorporated the colors purple and red into their Week-Before-Valentines-Day-Wedding. I helped the Donna adapt the embroidered organza '
April' dress from my 'Dioresque' Bridal Collection to make it totally unique to her. Donna's added touches meant adding the Vivienne Westwood
bridal mules with red hearts and a bright red satin sash to the waistline of her wedding dress. Check out the punch of color under the full skirt! We layered the petticoat with red and black polka dot and purple tulle.
Donna and Matt's goal: to create a relaxed and fun wedding vibe against the scenic San Francisco backdrop. Their first stop was Top of the Mark, a renowned landmark where they had their 'First Look' moment. They chose this
venue because it is where Matt
popped the question. Sauce was the venue for their wedding reception, suggested to them by
Loic, their wedding photographer. When they mentioned they were going for comfort food (*check out our
top trends for 2010!) as well as happy vibe, Sauce proved the perfect choice. Also the ambiance worked; the red velvet walls paired up nicely with the Valentine's Day theme... Love was definitely in the air at Donna and Matt's fab retro wedding!
