I never met anyone who didn't just swoon over J. Crew. Especially after they launched their first bridal collection back in 2004. Since then I'd say they're doing pretty well. So well, they've opened a two story, Madison Avenue bridal salon. The toney loft offers everything from wedding dresses, bridesmaid dresses and cocktail chic for all the guests. Jewelry designed by Lulu, Dana Lorenz and Miriam Haskel can be found as well as headpieces and veils. However, brides-to-be who want to book an appointment here better do it now-appointments are already going fast.
And FYI J. Crew is not the only chain to have opened or yet to open a bridal salon. Ann Taylor has had a bridal line out for a couple years and The Limited just launched one this month. According to The Wall Street Journal, the White House, Black Market chain is offering a strapless asymmetrical hemlined wedding dress this season ($498.00) and adding 4 more pieces come Fall. And next year, guess who's turn it is?? Anthropologie will be launching their first ever bridal collection in February 2011. I really can't wait!
If you could pick any retail chain to enter the bridal style market, who would it be??
