Chris and Cindy were an amazing couple to work with, and their June, 2010 wedding at
Zen oozed style! Long before the big day arrived, I knew this would be a wedding to remember!
For their engagement shoot and Cindy's bridal session, we went
raw, edgy, with a touch of rock and roll! Cindy donned a voluminous, messy
bridal updo, and experimented with different hair
accessories, from an all white feather flower, to a peacock-inspired hair piece. She also went high on drama with her statement jewelry, dark, smoky eyes, and lipstick red
bridal shoes. Cindy's bridal heels were almost too hot to handle, and I loved the ruffle detail across the top! Chris brought his own unique style to the table, wearing casual Converse shoes, a white button-up shirt (unbuttoned, of course), and a tie draped around his neck.
For the wedding day itself, Chris and Cindy did a complete 180! Instead of a messy updo, Cindy wore her hair
all down, with loose waves and a traditional veil. Her bridal makeup was fresh and natural, and her jewelry was understated and elegant. Chris wore a pin striped suit, white shirt, and black long necktie. But this time, the shirt was buttoned up, and the tie was tied!
Chris and Cindy chose simple, modern and elegant decor to set the tone for their wedding. This allowed for their theme to be fitting, while allowing an appreciation for the modern-industrial architecture of the
wedding venue space. They brought warmth and romance to the reception space with loads of candlelight, and the black and white damask
wedding cake was a true work of art!
