This week’s Savvy Steal comes from Chicago-based make-up extraordinaire, Richard Class, manager of Bluemercury apothecary and spa in Lincoln Park. Richard has been making women look stunning for over ten years and continues to spread the lovely beauty trends with one-on-one appointments and consultations. To purchase the Laura Mercier Bohemian product line or schedule an appointment with the fabulous Mr. Class (he's done my makeup, and it was literally to DIE for!), please call Bluemercury at 773.327.6900. And now, Richard offers some tips for how to get the most out of this week's Savvy Steal:

I have loved Laura Mercier since the beginning. The Bohemian product line from Laura Mercier is every gal’s secret weapon in creating the oh-so-desired sun-kissed, warm, glowing look. Wedding-day make-up should look natural and as much true to you as possible. The last thing you want to do is reflect back on your wedding photos and not recognize yourself. The best approach to creating the perfect wedding-day make-up is to stick with neutral colors and warming tones – the Bohemian line totally fits the bill and can be used for any skin tone. Lets start with the bronzer: The best quality of this product is the combination of four levels of bronze. To apply, swirl your bronzing brush in circles, blending all four colors together. Apply the Bohemian Bronzer to the face in a number three pattern: start at the center of your head where your hair line starts working your way along your hair line, down your cheeks to half way up your lips, back up your cheek, and down your jaw line. Repeat the number three motion on the other side of the face and blend where necessary. This application tactic creates the perfect natural and even bronzed look. On to the eyes: This Mosaic eye pallet will make every man melt. The colors in this pallet create a sex-sational look, giving gals a breathtaking smoky eye. Start out with putting the lightest color all over your eye, starting at the brow bone and working your way in. Next, apply the bronze color only to the lid. Lastly, take a small smudge brush and apply the blue along the lash line to create a soft smoky line. This is the perfect way to add color to your eyes without going overboard. Working with the Mosaic eye pallet puts the perfect variety of eye color in your hands to create the most stunning you for your big day.

To finish up, apply the spiced lip color evenly over the lips. This neutral-toned lipstick puts the picture-perfect finish on a stunning natural make-up trend.

Remember ladies, keep it simple and leave the drag look to all the queens out there. You want to be natural, glowing, stunning and absolutely fabulous on your big day. Make sure you trust your make-up artist, and if you’re doing it yourself, make sure you know your products. Give me a call to consult if you’d like, I love nothing more than to make women look like star-studded beauties, especially on their big day. Never forget, your wedding day is meant for you to completely steal the show and look the best version of yourself.
