The British press has been agog over a recent British study following 3,000 newly married couples. The study showed that 22% of the brides gained an average of a stone and a half (about 21 pounds) within the FIRST year of marriage.
Almost half of the brides said that they were too relaxed with their new husband and 22 percent said they weren't worried about trying to impress their husbands.
Nineteen percent of the grooms had noticed, and commented on the weight gain. Hmm, I wonder how those conversations went.
Funny, I don't recall seeing anything in any of the stories about how much weight the men gained...
