...Should Still Include Time For Friends!
About It's A Jaime Thing
You get a bridal shower, a bachelorette party, a wedding and then maybe go on a honeymoon. We all know how it goes... but what about after the wedding? Sure, you're "Coo-Coo For Cocao Puffs" for each other so of course you'll want to spend every waking minute together... but don't forget margaritas with the girls!
As we get older, we get married, have kids, become work-a-holics, ya-da, ya-da, ya-da.... sometimes it's easy to put your friends on the side because you know "they'll understand". We all do it, but why? Life goes by so quickly it's sometimes hard to plan to get together. But you have to. It's important! Not only for you and your friends, but for your relationship too!
Spending every waking second together when you're newlyweds can be fun, but like they say, "distance makes the heart grow fonder"! So grow that heart fonder and set some time aside each month away from the hubby to spend with your friends.
I'm currently planning a margarita party which I'm hosting for my friends and thought I'd throw some inspiration your way, in case you'd like to join in on the fun and plan your own!
To save money, I created and sent out my party invitations for free on PaperlessPost.com. I'm thinking about getting some fabulous favors for the party from Margarita Bloom ~ one of my favorite stores! Here are some ideas I've come up with so far for decor, but the planning is far from over...
Of course, we'll need to serve some food and yummy margaritas! Maybe even some margarita cupcakes... whoa. One of my favorite places to go for menu ideas is Hostess With The Mostess. Check it out, I'm even thinking of using carved out avocados as the bowls for my guacamole and salsa! We'll see how it goes... Do you have some cool ideas for a margarita party?
