Calling Chicago Brides: Two Great Bridal Events This Month

Posted by Azure on February 2nd, 2010
For those of us in Chicago, the weather somehow makes February into the LONGEST month.

But, there are two great events coming up that will keep you warm and toasty inside!
This couple just got engaged at the Field Museum in Chicago

A couple gets engaged at the Field Museum.

1) The Field Museum is having a special “Bridal Party” to promote their unique proposal service (featured on Savvy Scoop last month) and fabulous wedding venue. On February 13, wear a wedding dress – or wedding day tuxedo – and enter the Museum free of charge from 11am to 3pm. To toast these past, present and future brides and grooms, The Field Museum will hold a reception at 2:30pm in Stanley Field Hall; serving some bubbly and wedding cake made especially by The Fairmont Hotel. Those who come dressed in wedding attire will have a chance to win several prizes including two sets of round-trip airline tickets from United Airlines and deluxe stays at either the contemporary Swissôtel downtown Chicago, or the luxurious Gold Coast boutique hotel, The Talbot.

2) The always hip Oak Park/River Forest area is holding its own wedding show! Simply Elegant is a two day showcase of all that this unique non-suburban-feeling suburb has for the engaged couple. Instead of wearing your formal wear to this event, bring it and make a donation to the Glass Slipper Project! Helpful Links: A Unique Proposal Idea Bridal Shows
