Who knew DIY could be so chic!? Kelsey and Ryan's July, 2010 nuptials were picture perfect, thanks to the bride's decor-savvy mom and eager-to-help friends. The wedding venue, in Vinton, Virgina, provided the perfect backdrop for this low-key, cheerful, DIY wedding. Kelsey donned a simple yet chic wedding dress from David's Bridal, and finished the look with ruby red peep-toebridal heels and a traditional veil. Her bridal bouquet, an assortment of ivory wildflowers with touches of yellow and green, flawlessly fused rustic with classic.

The wedding color palette was primarily red, teal, and white, although pops of vibrant yellow were incorporated throughout. There was no shortage of eye-catching decor details! Some of my favorite touches- the R and K candy cane striped initials hung from the bride and grooms' reception chairs, the delectable red and blue candy bar, and the unexpected Gerber daisy table centerpieces. Kelsey and Ryan proved that a DIY wedding can still be high on style without breaking the bank!
