I like to think that I'm up on all of the current wedding trends, but there's one that seems to have escaped my notice until this week.

Are superhero themed weddings the new black?

First, Ask the Wedding Maven gets a question from a bride whose matron of honor is balking at the idea of wearing a superhero costume, then I see the above picture on Wedinator. Oh, and my son insists that he's going to wear a "spiderman" shirt to be a ring bearer in a wedding this summer.
