About Recycled Bride Sustainable Bridal Style from Etsy's Hottest Designers

Buying on Etsy is a great way to support small businesses and craftspeople. And lately, Etsy sellers have been producing beautiful, unique, and fashion-forward wedding dresses that rival those of top bridal designers. Here are six of my new favorites, with something for every budget and style. 1. The Wentworth Street Gown from The Wedding Collection is made by former Project Runway contesant Carol Hannah, who wore this very dress to the Emmys and says she's never enjoyed wearing anything so much! It's the ultimate sophisticated vintage modern gown, comes in pale aqua, ivory, or white hammered silk lined with silk crepe de chine, and sells for $3,400. Six yards of fabric create a fluid skirt and train for incredible flow and movement. 2. The White Orchid Wedding Dress from toccata is made from luxurious brocade silk and thirty yards of individually hand cut organza petals. It sells for $2,500 and is perfect for a Hollywood-glam bride. Tocatta's designer is a seasoned bridal designer and florist who was a Carolina Herrera Fashion Design Scholar at the Art Institute Seattle before moving with her family to the Phillipines, where she now focuses on being a "low-key Internet phenomenon" with her popular Etsy shop. 3. Tea Length Vintage Inspired Tulle Wedding Gown by bridalblissdesigns sells for $587. Bridal Bliss Designs makes custom reproductions of wedding dresses and will make changes to this fun and flirty frock at your request. Designer Jane is based in Kansas City and worked in a bridal shop for six years, until it went out of business. Her knowledge about fabrics, patterns, and bridal style are evident in her chic, vintage-inspired designs. 4. The Ivory Silk Chiffon and Lace Backless Dress is from Etsy seller hollystalder, an independent designer from Portland, Oregon. Made with ivory corded lace, ivory chiffon, and a plunge in the back with ruffles and chiffon trim, this easy-chic wedding dress is a steal at $220 and comes in small, medium or large. 5. The Peach Orchard Wedding Dress by junejulyseptember is a dream in Egyptian cotton, lace and ribbon trim for just $295. The bloused bodice with pin-tucks makes this ankle-length dress feel casually beautiful, perfect for a backyard, beach, or picnic wedding. Created by Brooklyn-based designer Summer (Get it? junejulyseptember? Clever!), who's trained as a costume designer, seamstress, and pattern-maker. 6. Antique Collage Out of this World Gown from hippiebride is a spectacular, one-of-a-kind work of art. Handmade from antique laces, designer Nina says that each unique Collage dress comes together like a puzzle, with no pre-determined pattern. At $5,000, this dress is an heirloom piece that earns its price tag, and will surely make jaws drop. Helpful Links: Green Wedding Ideas Designer Wedding Dresses
