Now Vera has yet another feather in her cap, thanks to Olympic Gold medalist Evan Lysacek. Last night, Lysacek made Olympic history, becoming the first male figure skater from the U.S.A. to win gold since Brian Boitano's 1988 win. And as the old saying goes, if you look good, you feel good... and you perform your best. And Vera Wang helped make this happen for Lysacek, since she designed his skating costumes for the Vancouver Olympic games!
For his short program, he wore a black sequin-embellished Vera Wang number, complete with feathered cuffs. And for his long program last night, he skated his way to Gold in another black Vera costume, sans feathers, adorned instead with a sequined snake around his neck.
Looks like Vera is on board with one of our Top Trends for 2010- Bright Color, Black Backdrop. Or at least the Black Backdrop part!
