Design Your Own Wedding Dress, It’s Child’s Play

My five year old definitely has her own sense of style. I recently bought her this great toy that lets you play fashion designer, even if you have the drawing skills of a five year old.
You may love the rouching and sweetheart neckline on this white wedding dress bodice.

Take this bodice...

It got me thinking, what if they made a toy like that for brides? You could match different hairstyles with different bodices, different skirts, and different shoes and see which combination added up to the perfect wedding dress?

Then I realized, they do make it, it’s called scissors and glue, or for the more sophisticated, software.

If you’re having trouble coming up with a style of dress that works for you, why not play around a little? Cut out some pictures from magazines, or download them. Here’s the thing though, only cut out the part of the picture you LOVE. If you love the full skirt, but could do without the sequins on the top, then just cut out the skirt. Mix and match until you find combos you like.

It’s not that you’re going to take this creation to a designer and ask her to create it for you, but playing like this will give you inspiration. Believe me, there’s nothing like some crayons, a pair of scissors, and a glue stick to relieve stress, even wedding stress!

The mermaid style and lace detail on this wedding dress skirt may work well with a different wedding

and add it to this skirt! Voila, a designer wedding dress!
