Location, location, location! Sunny and Robert's wedding was incredibly fun to shoot, thanks to all of the rad locations we visited. The wedding festivities kicked off at the bride’s parents’ home in Long Beach, CA for a traditional Chinese tea ceremony. For the wedding ceremony, the couple chose the gorgeous Japanese garden at Cal State University Long Beach as their venue. The Korean bell... San Pedro lighthouse... and finally, the Prince Seafood in Cerritos for the wedding reception. Clearly, we had no shortage of fantastic photo ops!
Believe it or not, this wedding was totally DIY! The bride designed and assembled all of the wedding decorations and flowers with help from family and friends of course. They kept in tradition to the bride’s Chinese background with some modern touches.
Sunny and Robert have such a strong foundation and commitment to each other that on their wedding day it was all about having a great time with their friends and family. Not only do they have big hearts, they have big smiles and a very open minds. So this beautiful couple (both inside and out) made our job as their wedding photographers a breeze! We truly enjoyed working with Sunny and Robert, not to mention the 10 course traditional Chinese meal at the end!
