‘Tis the season for a sweet
I Do! Imagine a holiday wedding in a hometown chapel followed by champagne,
wedding cake and peppermint hot chocolate. The scene is infused with red, bright green and geometric patterns creating a whimsical wedding approach to the season. And just about everything is adorned with
fresh flowers, including the toasting flutes.
We chose a combination of
roses and green hypericum berries, blooms that are easy to work with and
budget-friendly. But we couldn’t resist splurging on something extraordinary for the bride herself.
Candy Cane Amaryllis is a gorgeous, trumpet-style bloom reminiscent of peppermint with its red and white stripes. Even though it’s in season, Amaryllis is still one of the more expensive blooms so we reserved it as the signature flower for the
bridal bouquet, and a few accents such as the groom’s
boutonniere.
The
wedding ceremony aisle and altar are decorated with
fresh rose petals and styled with a hint of peppermint. From the mini cakes to the flower necklaces,
hair accessories and ring bearer pillow, we embellished just about everything with spray roses. Miniature stockings filled with rose petals are set out for wedding guests to toss at the new couple. A Christmas tree invites guests to write and hang wedding wishes for the couple (a play off the traditional wedding guest book). It’s a delightful inspiration for brides who love the spirit of the season! And the holidays are just around the corner so be inspired and have yourself a MARRY little Christmas.
