Special feature by Leah of1st Class Wedding Invitations
Okay. I’ll admit it. I was stalking wedding blogs and wedding products online in the summer of 2008, long before a wedding proposal was even in the works. Little did I know I would be engaged just 5 months later. Imagine my shock when my longtime boyfriend proposed to me on our three year anniversary! On that Tuesday, I left my office to go pick up my future fiancé for dinner, but he instead surprised me with a ring before we even made it to the restaurant!
It was no sooner than the following morning that I started planning
our wedding. I was already well prepared because of my previous wedding research, and I knew immediately I wanted to start examining different color schemes (as the colors we select for our wedding will dictate the overall event design). I've found that my favorite source of color inspiration has been through wedding announcements and wedding invitations
. Below are a few of our favorite, inspiring designs…
My fiancé and I love thisNavy and White Swiss Dot
wedding invitation because of its nautical, yet sophisticated design. The navy blue background paired with the white polka dots is classic, chic, and fun.
For an elegant evening wedding, thisBlack and White Filigree
Pocket wedding invitation is romantic and timeless.
Couples looking to use the chic color pattern of soft gray and yellow
will find perfection in this
“Down to Business” wedding invitation. The textured gray jacket and yellow embellishments add subtle sophistication.
And finally, more couples are making the environment a top priority when planning their weddings. This
gorgeous Embossed Wildflowers
recycled wedding invitation features wildflowers printed and embossed on recycled citron green card stock, with ecru envelopes.
We have yet to make our final decision about our wedding invitations
, but with the event approaching closer everyday, we will have to make a decision soon! Best of luck to all my fellow brides out there as you continue planning
for your wedding and future marriage!
