If you're wondering why succulents are praised as being eco-friendly, here's the scoop. These water-retaining plants require very little water to flourish, and they never die! Succulents last forever, just like your marriage Fresh-cut flowers are pricey and typically die within a few days.

You can go far beyond the bridal bouquet and get super creative with succulents, and I found some fabulous inspiration on the Stephanie Williams Photography blog! This particular wedding had a theme of orange and gray, succulents, rustic wood and French linen. Bright orange roses popped alongside lush green succulents, and the fished look was beyond romantic!

This creative couple added touches of succulents wherever possible. From the groom's boutonniere and the bridesmaids' bouquets, to the wedding cake and the bride's classic updo, it was all about succulents!
