Lake Tahoe Wedding: Sophisticated Color Palette, Lace and Feather Accents

Claire and Cole's August, 2010 wedding took place above the deep blue waters of Lake Tahoe. The bride chose a sophisticated wedding color palette of ivories, creams, and champagnes with touches of black. Claire's gorgeous Enzoaniwedding dress (which had a glamorous vintage feel with a ruched bodice accented by embellished floral rosettes) served as inspiration for the entire wedding day. Bronze sashes with beaded floral rosettes were added to the bridesmaids' dresses to coordinate with the bride. Cole and his groomsmen sported black suits with black Converse on their feet.
Infused throughout the wedding ceremony and reception decor were accents of black lace, champagne feathers, and antique pearls and crystals. On-trend feathers in champagne and ivory graced the black vintage ceremony urns and popped from Claire's bridal bouquet, while black feathers were added to the bridesmaids' blooms to create a striking contrast. Black petals carved a "W" in the ivory petal-carpeted aisle and the adorable flower girl carried a black basket. Sky high champagne ostrich feathers adorned the bar, which featured vintage style bar menus and Claire's Royale as the signature drink.
Champagne linens with black lace toppers dressed the cocktail tables, and wedding reception centerpiece vases wore cream lace and black ribbon. A lounge area was created with white couches, and black sequined pillows were added to up the sparkle. A simple and stunning 2-tier wedding cake dressed with lace and pearl-beaded rosettes was the centerpiece of Claire and Cole's delicious dessert bar. Wedding Pros
