We love that 2011 nearlyweds are embracing their roots! Without sacrificing planning the wedding of their dreams (whether it's modern, traditional or DIY), couples' are incorporating ethnic flairs and cultural details whenever possible. This is precisely what Van and Robert did for their autumn wedding in Washington Dulles, Virginia. The bride is of Asian decent, so choosing red as the primary hue in their wedding color palette was an easy choice. Robert is a Catholic Caucasian, so getting married in a traditional wedding ceremony venue was always the plan. Van donned a mermaid wedding dress from Demetrios with loads of romantic lace. Her bridal bouquet was simple and elegant, deep red roses tied with an ivory satin ribbon. To coordinate with his blushing bride, Robert wore a single red rose on the lapel of his black tuxedo. The bridesmaids wore full-length red strapless gowns, and the fondant wedding cake was decorated with red rosettes. High topiaries of ivory wedding flowers and hanging crystals added drama to the reception room, and a photo booth was present for some wedding reception fun!
