About Hostess with the Mostess

I know summer is winding down, but I for one refuse to let it go without a fight! One of the best ways to keep summer going is by keeping your drinks summery.

Here are three of my favorite summer cocktails, all recipes make one drink. Fresh Squeezed Margaritas

Hornitos Resposado Tequila

Mr. T's Sweet and Sour Mix

2 Limes, juiced

1 Tangerine, juiced

2 Oranges, juiced

1 Grapefruit, juiced

Lime Wedges to garnish

Put four ice cubes in a cocktail shaker to start the chill.

Add the tequila, sweet and sour, and the freshly squeezed juice.

Shake, pour, and top glass off with two ice cubes and garnish with a lime wedge. Caipirinha

1/2 lime, quartered

1 teaspoon white sugar

2 1/2 fluid ounces Cachaca

1 cup ice (crushed or cubes)

Using a large rocks glass, muddle the sugar into the lime wedge.

Fill the glass with ice.

Pour the Cachaca into the glass. Patio Lemonade

1.5 oz Vodka

.5 oz Chambord

3 oz lemonade

Shake ingredients with ice and strain into a tall glass.

Garnish with fresh berries or a lemon.

Enjoy this last month of summer, and for more entertaining ideas for any season, come visit us at Hostess with the Mostess.
