We received such positive feedback on the Getting Creative with Carnations
Savvy Scoop post by Hostess with the Mostess, that we thought you could use a Part Deux- Carnation Sensation!
It's been so exciting to see more florists
using carnations. Fleurs did a post on the "C" word
a few weeks ago and tons of magazines have been featuring them, but brides still haven't warmed up to these cheaper cousins. And, it's somewhat true, they face the stigma of prom corsages and the tragic pairing with baby's breath. But, clustered together they are modern and colorful. Or with some nice high end blooms, they are a budget friendly filler!
Above is a chic centerpiece from Martha Stewart!
And what about this pretty, soft and full pink arrangement
? Or pair roses with carnations for a match made in heaven!
Don't be afraid to give the thumbs up, or suggest carnations to your florist as a way to save some dough OR consider them as a way to get some ultra modern effect out of wedding floral.
