Mass Trash The Dress in The Netherlands on 09.09.2009

You've probably heard about all of the wacky wedding stuff that went down on 09.09.2009 (like the nearly 20,000 couples who tied the knot in Beijing, China, the nine couples in Los Angeles who married at the 99cents store, etc).

But this one I hadn't heard about, and really loved the concept! In the Northsea in Scheveningen, Netherlands, 99 Dutch brides got in on the American Trash The Dress trend. The photos, shot by photographer Melanie Rijkers, beautifully & artistically captured this mass trashing. What fun!
