Wedding Dresses by Jason Wu: Michelle Obama’s Fave Designer Goes Bridal

Posted by Azure on January 25th, 2011
Jason Wu (First Lady Michelle Obama's favorite designer) has landed on the wedding world with style and grace...

With an ultra-modern, uber-luxe bridal collection for Net-a-Porter.com!

Wu's latest and greatest collection is couture eye candy at its finest! Take the little two piece number below. Perfect for a casual civil ceremony, rehearsal dinner or separate wedding reception look, this ivory cotton mini is embellished with white ostrich feathers (sorry PETA). Since this stunner comes with a hefty price tag ($1,680 to be precise), I'll be on the hunt for a comparable steal. Or if I'm feeling extra crafty, maybe I'll try fashioning my own Jason Wu-inspired mini bridal skirt!

But, Jason Wu's bridal line isn't just about high drama; he also takes it back to basics with traditional, classic bridal pieces. How gorgeous is the bow-embellished silk-faille dress below?! I keep thinking back to Carrie Bradshaw's Vivienne Westwood confection from the SATC movie.

There's also a lovely two-piece bridal outfit that must have been designed with beach brides and boho brides in mind. A ruffle-adorned cami is paired with a layered silk-chiffon skirt (complete with an elegantly draped train), and the final look is ethereal!

So now that you've seen the collection, lovely brides and stylish wedding pros, we want to know... Are You in Love with Wu??
