Farewell to Priscilla of Boston Wedding Dresses

Posted by Azure on August 31st, 2011
It's a sad day... because today we learned that after 65 wonderful years, wedding dress designer Priscilla of Boston will make a graceful exit from the bridal style world at the end of this year.

On December 31, 2011, the entire portfolio of Priscilla of Boston brands (Priscilla of Boston, Platinum, Melissa Sweet, Vineyard Collection, Reverie by Melissa Sweet, Jewel by Priscilla of Boston) will be retired, and the 19 Priscilla of Boston bridal boutiques will be closed.

We've always adored the gowns created by Priscilla of Boston, and can't say we're ready to see this brand go. But on the bright side, for 2011 brides wearing this designer, there will be an extra bit of nostalgia attached to their walks down the white aisle. And after Priscilla of Boston brides have said their I Do's, they can hold onto their gowns until they're bona fide heirlooms, and pass them down to future generations or resell them to deserving future brides.

Priscilla of Boston, you will be missed. But thank you for making brides beautiful for almost three-quarters of a century! If you love Priscilla of Boston as much as we do, post a comment below to praise the brand and say farewell!
