If you haven't seen Slumdog Millionaire yet, you should! It's one of the best movies I've ever seen.

Hi! I'm Susan, and I'm a movie fan, a devoted dog lover, a wild woman... and I know wedding favors. As a writer for Here Comes The Blog, (I'm "Jayne") and the number-one online wedding favors site, My Wedding Favors, I'm always seeing the latest and greatest new wedding favors from top-tier favor designers like Kate Aspen.

I do love it when I can tie fantastic favors to a movie, so I couldn't pass up this opportunity. Besides, there's been a surge in cross-cultural wedding themes, and people seem to love the exotic beauty of India and the symbolism of the country's many icons. Here are two new Indian wedding favors perfect for the wedding of a millionaire or a bride on a budget:

Notice the raised trunk on the lovely "Lucky Elephant" Antique-Ivory Tea Light Holder. In the East, statues of elephants with raised trunks are believed to bring good fortune. The howdah (that's elephant for "saddle") holds a standard tea light, and the lipped "rug" under the howdah can hold a place card or a photo on either side. Lots of uses - one fantastic favor!

Also useful and richly designed, the "Imperial" Exquisite Glass Coasters have a gorgeous, intricate gold and deep-burgundy design. In the center square is a parchment paper-like insert that says "For You," but it can easily be replaced with a place card or a photo. I guess I'm just a sucker for jewel tones, so I love these coasters.

Now that I have you in an exotic, mystical mood, it's the perfect time to see Slumdog Millionaire. After you see it, let me know how you liked it! The movie may not make a great wedding theme, but India's transcendent beauty certainly would create an amazing ambience!
