A marriage rests on solid finances.

Marriage rests on solid finances

Make way! Preparing to walk down the aisle is the June bride. The day that you have been waiting for is almost upon you. You can see your wedding dress, the bridesmaids, the flower girl, and the groom and groomsmen in your mind. You are becoming more and more excited as the day grows closer.

While you have the opportunity, take a minute to think about your marriage. The day after the wedding, what does it look like? Do you have financial issues your groom doesn’t know about? What are the discussions you should have before walking down the aisle?

As a money and marriage advocate, I would like to see your marriage work – especially when it comes to money. Too many marriages being affected right now by the economy, and too many couples are having arguments because of it. That would not be happening if money talk discussions were happening. Do not put your marriage in the position of being destroyed or divided because of money issues.

Be the June bride that can stand at the altar with a clear conscience, knowing you have already begun talking about money. The bride who has a financial plan with her mate and knows that she will get through any financial challenge with him and not without him. I encourage you to be the June bride who does not go with the flow but goes against the grain.

Congrats on your upcoming wedding. Celebrate your marriage.
