Best of Show: Hey Lady Bridal Shoes

March 26th, 2010, by Azure

As we mentioned, we started off the week at the National Bridal Market here in Chicago. I saw some shoes that completely blew me away. They’re vintage inspired, but totally modern and have some amazing comfort features. Personally, my favorites are Princess Buttercup and At Tiffany’s above, although I’m also a little bit in love with CoCo...

One, Two, Dye My Wedding Shoe?

April 08th, 2009, by Azure

Although there are alternatives, most brides expect to spend money on a wedding dress they’ll only wear once. But what about shoes? Shoes don’t really become heirlooms, and I haven’t seen anyone successfully pull off white heels and jeans since the 80s, so what exactly are you supposed to do with wedding shoes? Here’s an idea, don’t buy white ones. I bought blue shoes for my wedding and let them do double duty as my “something blue.” I don’t feel bad that they’re...

If the Shoe Fits…

February 08th, 2009, by Azure

When I was twelve my best friend got a pair of high heels for her birthday. Practicing how to walk in the shoes quickly replaced playing with Barbie as our favorite sleepover activity. I never really did get the hang of it. Which is why I was so stoked to see Bliss Bridal Shoes has gorgeous wedding shoes in all sorts of heels from traditional, to wedges to flip flops. Yes, I said flip flops! These are especially great if you’re planning an outdoor wedding (trust me, stilettos and...
