After complimenting my sweet grandmother on her turquoise earrings a few times, I became the proud new owner of these vintage gems. The earrings have been passed down for generations, and were given to my grandma by her mother. I started thinking about how gorgeous these would be for a bride's something blue, and since they're vintage, they'd count for her something old, too!
I've always been a fan of turquoise. The stone, the color, you name it. If you're like me, then turquoise...

One of these things is not like the other...one is these things is a designer heel that retails for $1,350, and the other is a more budget-friendly alternative that's only $160.
Can you guess which is which? Is the designer option studded with diamond pave? Sadly, no. We checked. Is the designer name worth the extra $1,190? Well...just how much did you love your BeDazzler as a youth?

Just because you’re a budget-minded bride doesn’t mean you’re not susceptible to the latest trends. My current obsession, for example: sequin everything. Nothing makes me squeal like a 12 year old at a Hanson concert circa 1997 more than a sparkly pair of designer sequin pumps, or a cute little sequined party dress. But as much as we lust over names like Kate Spade, Vera Wang, or Jimmy Choo – forking up several hundred dollars for a single pair of shoes puts a serious...

All you need is two pairs of shoes, one bride, one groom and one unique picture to capture, and begin to tell the story of, your wedding. You spend a year (or two!) planning every last detail down to what shoes you’ll wear down the aisle, so it only makes sense to ensure your photographer gets a keepsake photo of them.
The ‘shoe shot’ will tell a lot more about your wedding than you think. Your shoes reflect not only you and your groom's personalities...

White by Vera Wang is a really fantastic collection for budget brides who still want to look like a million bucks.
You can score a lookalike of Kim Kardashian's custom Vera Wang gown for just $1,500, and one of my favorite dresses in the Fall 2012 collection costs a cool $700. Pretty easy on the budget, don't you think?
And did you know that Vera creates shoes and accessories for her White by Vera Wang line, too? I didn't... until I visited the showroom this past weekend in NYC. ...
