A Special DIY Real Wedding at Anvil Ranch

Posted by HannahN on July 1st, 2014

Reading the story behind Isabel and Joe's wedding is guaranteed to make you smile! The two were married at Anvil Ranch north of San Francisco, which is a special place with a lot of family history - Isabel's great uncle was the care taker of the ranch in the 60's through the 80's. They also incorprated a lot of DIY projects that involved the participation of many of the guests. A lot of guests gathered flowers, and everything was foraged from peoples' farms or the road side. Isabel's uncle made the beautiful archway used in the ceremony from willow trees from the property. Everyone pitched in with most of the decorating, and a friend of theirs also wrote and played the music during the ceremony. Another unique element to the wedding that we absolutely adore are the rings, which are made from iron wood instead of metal.  We love that Isabel and Joe's special day was made even more exceptional by all of the personal touches by their friends and family before and during their wedding. Take a look at the gorgeous photos below, and be sure to Ideabook and Pin your favorites!
