Candice Solomon Wedding Dress

Candice Solomon is the owner and designer of One of a Kind Bride in New York City. She has been designing bridal gowns for over 23 years. Before she opened her business she worked for her mother, which was also a designer. “My mom was into bohemian, hippy-chic couture,” says Candice “I started working for her when I was 11. When I was 21, I moved to New York City and opened my own business.”

Now she works on a one-to-one basis with every bride to create the gown of her dreams. Each bride that comes into her salon is shown the collection and can try on anyone she likes. After the bride finds a gown it is made to measure to insure their signature couture fit.

All the styles either are strapless, off the shoulder, or with a spaghetti strap. However, sleeves and jackets or wraps can be ordered on request. “I am happy to customize any gown in my collection if I do not have exactly what the bride wants in one gown,” says Candice. Her most popular styles are the ballgown and a-line.

Delivery on a couture fit wedding dress is anywhere from 3 to 8 months. However, if the bride has less time she can always purchase a ready-to-wear gown. The ready-to-wear wedding dress styles are always available for the bride that needs a gown at the last minute.
