Mark Zuckerberg Ties the Knot: Did the Billionaire Pull Out All the Stops?
A celebrity wedding without all the frills! It's not uncommon for celebrities (in an effort to keep details of their nuptials under wraps) to invite guests to what they think is just a regular old star-studded celebration (I kid), and unveil the real reason for the gathering (a wedding!) once guests arrive at the venue. And this is exactly what Facebook founder (and newly minted billionaire) Mark Zuckerberg did this weekend!
Zuckerberg invited guests to his Pal Alto home to celebrate the med school graduation of his longtime girlfriend, Priscilla Chan. The low-key backyard setting seemed perfectly appropriate for a party of this kind, so the 100 or so guests invited were shocked and delighted to learn that Priscilla and Mark were actually tying the knot!
But once the cat was out of the bag, there wasn't a magical transformation of the venue or ambiance. It was a low fuss, backyard celebration (just one with vows and a filthy rich groom) through and through. We kinda expected this from Zuckerberg, but we'd love to know what you think!
