Joanna and Jeremy's wedding at the Milwaukee County War Memorial was beyond chic! The venue boasts breathtaking views of Lake Michigan, and interesting modern architecture (designed by architect Eero Saarinen) perfect for the Midwest couple's cool modern vibe.
Various shades of deep red, stark white and slate gray made up the wedding color palette, and the bride donned HOT scarlet strappy shoes adorned with big romantic blossoms (by Nina Shoes). Joanna's bridesmaids each chose their own pair of festive red heels, while the groomsmen sported funky red socks, and amazing red and white boutonnieres handmade by the bride!
The bride's white aisle style was absolutely to die for! She wore a classic strapless wedding dress with delicate pleats, paired with a beautiful statement necklace and sleek wedding updo. Her hairstyle was finished with a lovely white hair flower.
For the outdoor wedding ceremony, guests were given pretty red fans to help them cool off!
And for the wedding reception decor, red carnations were packed tightly in white rectangular vases, proving that carnations are no longer taboo for weddings! Along with the low carnation centerpieces, high topiary styles were created using manzanita branches, feathers, red carnations, and ivory roses.
And we can't forget about the wedding cake! Four gorgeous fondant tiers, with a deep red heart featuring wings of ice blue and silver wrapped around the bottom tier. Simply scrumptious!
