OneWed.com Wedding News - Viewers select De Beers wedding rings for Today couple

When Leigh Daniel and Nick Cordes walk down the aisle next week as part of the Today show's wedding planning contest, they will present each other with De Beers wedding rings.

Every year, NBC's morning program has a segment in which couples compete to see who will win the opportunity to get married live on air.

Then, viewers get the chance to vote on different aspects of the wedding planning, such as the attire for the wedding party and the honeymoon destination.

This week, the public was faced with choosing which wedding bands they would most like to see Leigh and Nick wear on their big day.

They selected from a diverse selection of rings, including those designed by David Yurman, Anna Hu and Martin Katz - and De Beers, the most traditional option, came out on top.

According to the National Jeweler Network, the groom's ring is platinum with a single diamond and the bride's ring features three rows of diamonds on 18-karat white gold.
