There's a new wedding planning trend sweeping the UK, and it has been sparked by the hit movie Mamma Mia!

The Times Online reports that a number of brides and grooms are choosing to have a destination wedding in the Greek islands, just like in the film.

Mamma Mia! tells the story of a young woman who is getting married on the island of Kalokairi and invites three older men - each of whom may be her father - to join in the ceremony.

The entire film is set to the soundtrack of classic Abba songs, from Dancing Queen to Take a Chance on Me. Meryl Streep, Colin Firth and Pierce Brosnan are among the movie's stars.

Now, it seems that the romance and fun of the film are irresistible to some British couples, who are choosing Mamma Mia! wedding packages, according to the Times.

"A lot of people come to use and say, 'We love the film. Can you do something like that for us?'" destination wedding travel agent Andreas Palikiras told the publication.
