OneWed.com Wedding News - Twilight screenwriter: New Moon and Eclipse will include proposals

Twilight fans who are eagerly awaiting the upcoming release of the New Moon movie on November 20 may be pleased to know: it will contain a crucial wedding proposal scene.

In an interview with Fearnet.com, Melissa Rosenberg - who wrote the screenplays for Twilight, New Moon and Eclipse - reveals that both proposals from the two books will make it into the movies.

In New Moon, the idea of wedding planning arises after Bella explains to Edward that she would like him to be the one to bring her to "the change." Rosenberg confirmed that this scene will take place near the end of the film.

And in Eclipse, Edward will get down on his knees and offer Bella an antique engagement ring owned by his mother, Rosenberg added.

"That was one of the most romantic scenes that Stephanie [Meyer, the author] wrote in all four books," she told Fearnet.com.

Even though Eclipse isn't set for release until next summer, there has already been some buzz about the wedding gown that Bella will wear.

In August, Style magazine had a handful of designers - including Christian Siriano - try their hand at sketching potential wedding dresses for the character to wear during her nuptials.
