Filipino-Irish Wedding in Virginia

Annalisa + Ian by April B Photography

Annalisa and Ian’s Filipino-Irish wedding was a stunning display of two cultures and two people coming together as one. To incorporate their unique heritage into their special day, Annalisa performed a native dance for guests at the reception, while Ian sported a traditional, plaid Irish Kilt. The couple also took part in a Celtic coin ritual during the ceremony, and the wedding took place on the same land where Ian’s grandparents had homesteaded many years ago.

The blending of Filipino and Irish cultures was made even more beautiful by the couple's carefully chosen vintage décor and inspired, unique details. The wedding reception place settings featured mix and match floral-print china with napkin rings that doubled as escort cards, and each guest received their very own mason jar as a drinking glass for the night (and a favor to take home). And to top it all off, the bride personally designed her gorgeous, handmade fabric bridal bouquet to put an eco-friendly twist on her culture-rich I Do's!
