Our Love Story

As many of you may know, Andrew can sometimes be a bit forgetful. On Wednesday, January 7th, he randomly found $50 in his sock drawer. He decided to take me out to dinner since we both had been having a bad week. It was nothing out of the ordinary, just dinner at Red Lobster. I had never eaten there and was in the mood for fish. We had a nice enjoyable dinner together and wonderful conversation.

On the way home from dinner we stopped at Whole foods and picked up a couple of chocolate desserts to share with the bottle of wine we had at home. We got home and let our little beagle, Cora, out of her kennel. Andrew asked me to take her out, which I did, and when I came back in Andrew was sitting on a stool in the hallway with his acoustic guitar. He told me he had written a song for me this week and wanted me to listen to it. So I sat on the floor, at this point I was some-what suspicious.

He played his song for me and ended with "Shanna Marie Beecher, will you marry me?" He got down from his stool on one knee, directly in front of me and presented this gorgeous ring. I couldn't do anything but start crying and said "of course I will!" We then opened our bottle of wine and ate our delicious desserts! It really was the perfect, unexpected proposal. I couldn't have asked for a more romantic, sweet proposal. I can't wait to marry this man!
