Gary and I had been dating for a year and a half before he proposed. I always thought that I would know exactly when the proposal was going to happen, but I was wrong! It was Christmastime, December 16th to be exact, and we were celebrating the spirit of the season...watching "The Real Housewives of Orange County." During a commercial (he knows not to interupt my favorite show), Gary asked me if I had seen the new Christmas ornament he had bought that day. I said, "no" and got up to look for it. It was an ornament that featured Mickey and Minnie Mouse. They were shopping in a jewelry store, looking at a big diamond ring. I thought the ornament was really cute, but didn't notice anything out of the ordinary until I looked at Mickey's ear. The ring was hanging on it. Knowing that I saw it, Gary took the ring, got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. By that point, I was crying like an idiot, but somehow managed to get out, "yes!" The rest is history...
