Engagement Story- October 7, 2008
by AWerner

Timothy called me from work that afternoon in a panic. He said something bad had happened that day, and he may not be able to continue with that job. He couldn't tell me over the phone, and he wanted to talk to me and his parents about it in person that evening. I, of course, was freaking out, thinking of all the things that could have happened. I rushed over to his house as soon as I could, but his parents weren't there yet. I was dying to know what happened, though, so we went on a walk around Baldwin Park to our favorite spot on New Broad Street. He was taking forever to explain his day at work, and I was so confused. When we reached the bridge we usually go to, I finally told him he wasn't making any sense. October 7 was also our anniversary, and I knew we were going to dinner that night. He told me to close my eyes, and he would finish the story after he gave me an anniversary gift. I was really confused, but I agreed. When I opened my eyes, I saw two huge bouquets of roses, and a small Tiffany's bag. He told me to open the Tiffany's bag, and inside was a small charm in the shape of a heart that read, "Marry Me". He dropped to one knee, and pulled out the most beautiful diamond ring, and asked me to be his wife!! Obviously, the whole story about his job was made up, and he caught me totally off guard. I was so shocked! We went to Maggiano's for dinner and called all of our family and friends to share our exciting news! July 23, 2009, Tim's 22nd birthday, we will be married!
