No skywriting, or engagement-ring-adorned-dessert here. David popped the question on April Fools Day. In the pool. With no ring.

Cautiously optimistic, I kept asking "Is this a joke?"

Nope. I said "YES!!"

We couldn't tell anyone, though, because David wanted my parent's blessing (Can you believe he never asked??) Also, everyone would think it was an April Fools Joke! We went and picked out the ring the very next day.

The next weekend, we went to Maryland for Easter and broke the news to everyone...FINALLY!!
