Our UP Vacation

We finally went on a much deserved week long vacation in August of 2008. We went to St. Ignace, Mackinac Island, Pictured Rocks, Marquette, Erin's Grandpa's house in Mass City, the Porcupine Mountains, Houghton, Ontonagon, two places called Presque Isle, three copper mines, Fort Wilkins in Copper Harbor, Brockway Mountain Drive and all of the scenic look outs along the way. It was awesome and relaxing and fun. Our neighbor told us to try a little Italian restaurant in Marquette called Casa Calabria. It was awesome. Erin wanted to try it again on the way back. We got to Marquette but the restaurant wasn't open yet. So we went to check out the Presque Isle park and took a walk out on the rocky pier. We turned around to walk back and Travis had gotten the ring out. Erin was suprised, and worried that he was holding a diamond ring over giant boulders and the water. Erin said yes and we celebrated by eating at the awesome Italian food restaurant.
