- Give us the dets! What did you buy? Wedding theme? Colors? Flair? My destination wedding is actually a church blessing in a medieval church in England. I bought the perfect comb to decorate my hair and add to my overall bridal look for the day without looking overdone, which was my big fear. We don't have church blessing in the U.S., and I needed to find a tasteful way to decorate my hair for the big day.
- Did the bridal retailer offer all that you imagined? Did you just love? I needed more than just pictures of bridal hair accessories and jewelry. I needed and received thoughtful ideas of how to wear my hair with the jewelry instead of having to drastically change the look I wanted so that I could use the hair jewelry. I look like me, as a beautiful bride.
- How did you personalize your wedding? This wedding/church blessing is about family in England. My fiance's mother is too old to fly to the U.S., so my new family in England is bringing together a wonderful garden party with tent, traditional hog roast and, by pulling some strings, entertainment by some popular, local jazz musicians.
- How did the bridal retailer meet your needs & budget? DTA Bridal saved the day hair-wise for me with their "Janet" comb. As a 46 yr old, second-time bride travelling to England for a church blessing in a medieval church near Canterbury, a veil was entirely inappropriate. Yet, when I looked at bridal hair accessories, I couldn't imagine how I could use hair jewelry with my hair down in a style that flatters my face AND my somewhat thin hair. My fiance loves my hair down and I didn't want a headband. A tiara wasn't right either. DTA Bridal suggested a 40's look that uses just one comb--not a big expense and a lot of sparkle for not much cost. The retailer has the 40's hairstyle picture posted in her blog.
