- I wanted to defend myself over ms Bowles comment. I was hired to make her wedding cake/grooms cake. She emailed me and asked me to make her sons Birthday cake, I did make a few mistakes on the cake, I wrote the name wrong and I forgot to put the filling in the cake and put a baseball instead. I gave ms Bowles a 20.00 discount(which she failes to tell anyone). I got a email from her telling me how everyone at the party kept asking why the name was so differant from the other colors(it seems she went home and tried to take the name off and rewrite it) the cake was airbrushed) so it was going tomess up the cake. I had told her how to fix it without messing up the cake, it seems she didnt. After reading her email,and her telling me how I ruined the day for everyone, she told me that she wanted to come see my work as I was delivering a cake, she wanted tomake sure I would do a good job(which I can understand) she told me she was worried that if I could ruin a simple birthday cake, how could I make her cake well, So I decided that it would be in my best interest to not make her cake, I just felt that no matter how or what I did, I would never be able tomake her cakes to her standard.I never refused to make it, I just felt it would be best not to make it. I told her I would mail back her deposit and the hand traced picture of her cake back to her,but due to some family isues(in which she told the BBB that I was probably not telling the truth about( my grandmother died and my father had a heart attack a week later. Ms Bowles had the nerve to say I was lying about this. I guess she thought I had to return her things within 24 hours, but the BBB told me I had 30 days, I am glad I decided not to make her cakes I think in the end it would have been a bad choice on my part if I had, I really dont think , she would have been happy with any work I did for her, I am glad she found someone else to make her cakes, in the long run its better for all of us. I am sorry that this situation got so ugly,ms bowles was mad that I decided not to make her cakes . she got mad that I didnt jump to reply to her emails,( I was in ohio burying my grandma) she was mad that I didnt jump to her every need, I was trying to deal with my family issues, and to be honest, my family came first over her and mailing her deposit and hand traced picture back to her, Since all this she has gotten her money and picture back. I work hard and I take alot of pride in my work, am I proud of the cake I made for her?, no, but I am human, and we all make mistakes and as a decorator we all have off days, and we are not all perfect.
- I have alot of clients that come back for all thier cake needs, I would say 65% of my business is referalls, so I am vey happy with my business and the people I make cakes for, I will always treat them with respect and do my best to make them the cake they will love.

- What did you get and how did you like it? My tasting went wonderful and when we picked our flavors, we were very happy with the choices we made. When we got our cake everything was just as we picked.We had a wonderfull experience with them, we would recomment them to everyone who needs a cake.
- What was the best comment from a guest? All our guest kept telling us thru out the night that the cake was the best they have ever had. We had enough cake to feed 200 guest, at the end of the night, there was nothing but crumbs on the tabel. I am so happy we picked sweetcreations to make our cake. I will use them agian for my future cake needs

- Were you happy? Would you do it again? Tracie Bridge refused to make my wedding cake because I complained on the poor job she did on my sons birthday cake. His name was spelled wrong, there was no filling as requested, and there was a baseball on it when I asked for a soccer ball. After she refused to make my wedding cake she said she would mail me back my depost as well as my cake sketches I left with her. I have an email from her dated 8/24/09 stating she would send my stuff back to me, and to date I have not received it, and the only time she replied to an email is when I told her I was going to contact the better business bureau.She believes that I am sending her "nasty" and threatening emails, but these emails have no profanities, and the threats she is referring to is about the complaint I told her I would file against her with the better business bureau etc since she has not returned emails and each time she said she would mail my deposit, it never comes. I am not mad she will no longer make the cake, I AM BLESSED that this was caught in time so my wedding cake isnt a disaster, and I have a wonderful new baker for only 50.00 more-best 50.00 ever spent! I am sure the deposit and sketches are a loss for me, so save yourself the stress, money, and time and choose a PROFESSIONAL to make your cake. Saving a little cash is not worth it if you encounter a crook for a wedding vendor! I would not be having this problem if I had went to a professional bakers shop. Lesson Learned! I will update this posting should the issue ever get resolved.
